Activate Content Metrics

Managing your content and knowing what is relevant is an integral part of Process Refinement.

L4 - Process Refinement

The Software Development Life Cycle is part of the Activate process refinement, which is part of the Data Fusion Model, formally the Resource Management level of the JDL Multi-Sensor Data Fusion Model.

In addition to monitoring your security team's workflow progress, Activate provides resources for tracking the rules utilization in the Device Event Category field.

Collecting Content Metrics

There are some Global Variables provided as of Activate Base 2.5.2.0 that will help with metrics reporting:

Using these fields in your content metrics, you can track the coverage across the Activate Data Fusion Model levels, across the Defense Monitoring in Depth layers, as well as by Indicators and Warnings Categories, Use Cases, and User Stories.

Tracking Content Metrics across the Activate Attack Life Cycle

Each Activate correlation event maintains which phase of the Activate Attack Life Cycle it covers in the Category Custom Format field.
